Kentucky Bar Exam Dates

2013: February 26-27;  July 30-31

Kentucky Bar Exam Format

The exam lasts 2 days.  On day 1, 6 state essay questions and 6 Multistate Essay Examination questions are given.  On day 2, the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) is administered.  Click here for more information about AmeriBar's Multistate Bar Review Course.

Kentucky Bar Exam Grading Information

In order to pass, applicant must receive a scaled score of 132 on the MBE and receive 75% on the essay section.

Kentucky Bar Exam MBE Reciprocity

Will accept MBE scores of at least 132 if taken in prior 3 years.

Kentucky Bar Reciprocity

May be admitted on motion if practiced 5 of last 7 years and met other specified requirements (contact board).
